Job summary

Dean Dorton in Raleigh, NC seeks an Associate Director for Construction Tax Services to lead a diverse client portfolio and deliver strategic tax advisory across construction clients. You will supervise engagements, mentor teams, and drive business development while maintaining client relationships.

Ideal candidate is a licensed CPA with 10+ years in tax, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of construction costing, multi-state issues, and relevant software. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in a tax or tax-related role with construction/real estate clients preferred.
• Extensive experience in leading teams, processes, and technical tax expertise.
• CPA licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage client service teams and engagements with multiple tasks.
• Review tax returns and workpapers to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop understanding of construction operations and project accounting.
• Provide advisory services and cost-minimization strategies for clients.
• Mentor teams, drive business development, and participate in firm initiatives.
• Interface with authorities and manage audits as needed.
