Job summary

Dean Dorton seeks an Associate Director of Construction Tax Services to lead a diverse client portfolio. You will mentor teams, drive business development, and represent the firm to clients while balancing technical tax work with strategic growth.

Ideal candidate is a CPA with 10+ years in tax, strong leadership, and deep construction/real estate tax knowledge. Travel may be required; health benefits and PTO are highlighted benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in a tax or tax-related technical role with construction/real estate focus preferred.
• CPA licensure required.
• Experience leading teams, managing processes, and advising clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage client service teams and engagements, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Review tax returns and workpapers, providing review comments to meet compliance.
• Develop deep understanding of construction operations and project accounting.
• Provide advisory services, educate clients on tax law changes, and manage client relationships.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, billing, and firm initiatives.
