Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Civil/Environmental/Structural Engineer to drive high-visibility construction sustainability projects within the Global Engineering Sustainability & Automation (GESA) team. You will oversee Scope 3 material assessments and work with design, procurement, and construction to standardize adoption across Ops sites.

Role involves travel up to 25% and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to decarbonize Amazon Ops buildings and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with scope 3 material quantity takeoffs, MAC, NPV and simple pay back analysis.
• Experience with large scale infrastructure and construction projects preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Creating and modifying mechanism to track carbon throughout the project life-cycle.
• Understand design and construction of mass timber buildings and large span structures.
• Proficient in scope 3 material quantity takeoffs, MAC, NPV and simple pay back analysis.
• Communication across various stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and tasks.
• Lead calls with vendors and report project status to close out scope 3 tech assessments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science
