Job summary

Walbec Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Construction Survey Leader to oversee land surveying on projects across the region. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead a survey team, manage scope, budget, and staffing, and ensure accurate staking and machine control work.

Responsibilities include preparing surveys and fee proposals, monitoring performance data, operating GNSS and robotic total station equipment, and developing 3D machine control models using AutoCAD Civil3D and Trimble

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work-related experience.
• Must have Professional Land Surveyor License.
• Maintain a positive attitude and possesses good work ethic.
• Demonstrate leadership skills to mentor and direct team members.

• Complete the monthly financial reporting workflows for construction survey related tasks.
• Monitor performance data to maintain realistic production rates for survey tasks.
• Oversee and develop survey team members to maximize their potential.
• Operate land surveying tools (GNSS & Robotic Total Station).
• Prepare construction staking setups using AutoCAD Civil3D & Trimble Business Center.
• Manage 3D machine control model development standards and review machine control models.
• Lead construction survey and grade setting best practices training efforts.
• Ability to work independently and as an active member of the team.

Requirements:

• 7 + years of work-related experience.

• Must have Professional Land Surveyor License

• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
