The Walbec Group is seeking a Construction Survey Leader to guide surveying efforts on Wisconsin projects under the Engineering Manager. This role requires leading a survey team, preparing surveys, and overseeing machine control models using GNSS, Robotic Total Station, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of land surveying experience.
• Must hold a Professional Land Surveyor license.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction surveys.
• Develop machine control fee proposals.
• Manage scope, budget and staffing needs.
• Complete monthly financial reporting workflows for construction survey related tasks.
• Monitor performance data to maintain realistic production rates for survey tasks.
• Oversee and develop survey team members to maximize their potential.
• Operate land surveying tools (GNSS & Robotic Total Station).
• Prepare construction staking setups using AutoCAD Civil3D & Trimble Business Center.
• Manage 3D machine control model development standards and review machine control models.
• Lead construction survey and grade setting best practices training efforts.
• Work independently and as an active member of the team.
