Job summary

Windrose Land Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Survey CAD Technician to provide advanced technical support for active construction projects, including survey calculations, boundary analysis, field data processing, QA/QC, and coordination with CAD and field teams.

This office-based role reports to the Construction Operations Manager and RPLSs, ensuring accurate, complete, and construction-ready deliverables while helping keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of survey technician experience in construction or commercial land surveying.
• Strong knowledge of staking, boundary analysis, and survey calculations.
• Experience with CAD-based survey workflows and coordinating between field crews and CAD/licensed surveyors.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Construction Field Ops Manager, RPLSs, and Field Ops to plan and support survey activities.
• Prepare calculation maps, control layouts, and field support documentation for staking and layout.
• Review deeds, plats, easements, and title commitments for construction impacts.
• Process and adjust conventional and GPS data (horizontal and vertical).
• Perform boundary analysis and build parcels in CAD to support decisions.
• Provide direction and calculations to CAD Drafters for deliverables.
• QA/QC reviews prior to RPLS submission; identify conflicts and coordinate resolutions.
• Support drafting standards, templates, and construction workflows; train CAD staff when needed.
