CenCore is seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to support secure construction activity at a data center facility. This role is ideal for a cleared security or construction surveillance professional with 1–3 years of relevant experience who is ready to support site monitoring, access control, documentation, and compliance activities in a secure construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous surveillance of construction site activity to ensure adherence to security protocols, construction standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
- Monitor and control access to the construction site, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry.
- Verify that construction activities align with approved plans, specifications, security requirements, and project expectations.
- Perform regular site inspections to confirm work is completed in accordance with quality, safety, and security standards.
- Identify, document, and report security breaches, safety violations, non-compliance issues, suspicious activity, or other concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain detailed daily logs, incident reports, activity records, observations, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with construction managers, security personnel, project managers, and stakeholders to address and resolve security or compliance concerns.
- Provide regular updates and reports regarding construction activity, site status, identified issues, and recommended follow-up actions.
- Support safe site operations by following established safety protocols and reporting unsafe conditions promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide a valid U.S. Passport Book or Passport Card.
- 1–3 years of Construction Surveillance Technician (CST), construction security, physical security, construction site monitoring, or related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Foundational experience in construction surveillance, security operations, construction site monitoring, access control, or a related field.
- Knowledge of security protocols and best practices in a construction environment.
- Understanding of construction site safety and security requirements.
- Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential security, safety, or compliance issues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an active construction environment.
- Ability to use surveillance equipment, security systems, and related technology.

Preferred Qualifications
- Additional education, training, or certification in construction management, security, physical security, or a related field.
- Familiarity with data center construction processes, standards, or secure facility operations.
- Prior experience supporting cleared construction, government facilities, secure facilities, or critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience coordinating with construction teams, security staff, project stakeholders, or customer representatives.
- Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, site documentation, or inspection processes.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

- May be exposed to construction site conditions, including noise, dust, weather, uneven surfaces, and other active-site hazards.
- Must comply with all site safety, security, access control, and personal protective equipment requirements.
