They are seeking a Remote Data Center Project Engineer to provide technical product support for building systems and materials used in data center construction. This role serves as a key liaison between engineering, sales, product development, installation teams, and clients, ensuring successful integration and performance of specialized products within mission-critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and support for a portfolio of building products used in data center construction, including enclosures, structural systems, mechanical assemblies, or modular components.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure product compatibility and performance.
  • Support field teams by resolving technical issues related to product installation and performance.
  • Assist in the development of technical documentation, installation guides, and maintenance manuals.
  • Interface with design engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and end-users to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct product training sessions for construction partners and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with R&D and quality teams to provide feedback and drive product improvements based on field performance.
  • Support testing, validation, and certification processes for new or evolving products.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to design intent and product guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (or related field).
  • 4+ years of experience in construction engineering, technical support, or product engineering, preferably related to data centers or critical facilities.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, building codes, and technical product specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with construction documentation, submittal review, and RFIs.
  • Proficiency with design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Bluebeam.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with data center construction or other mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with modular construction methods and prefabricated systems.
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE, Uptime Institute standards, and industry best practices for critical facility design and construction.
