Job summary

GFT in Owings Mills, MD is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead field operations, oversee contract work, and ensure projects meet schedule and budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with project stakeholders, plan work sequences, mentor team members, manage subcontractors, and drive continuous improvement across sites.

This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule with regular office presence and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of experience in construction inspection, supervision or engineering, including two years in supervisory roles.
• Valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or equivalent; eligible for Baltimore City permit.
• Supervisory experience required; non-supervisory experience alone is not a substitute.

Responsibilities

• Lead the field by overseeing contracted work across projects, keeping on track and cost-effective.
• Plan, sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, monitor materials and crews.
• Deliver projects on schedule and budget with a shared vision and safety focus.
• Enforce safety and quality programs; hold work to high standards.
• Develop schedules, coordinate with subcontractors, and lead progress meetings.
• Manage contracts, staffing, and cost tracking; monitor KPIs.
• Mentor team members and foster a collaborative, inclusive environment.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and represent the city professionally.
• Close out projects with punch lists and final inspections.
