Job summary

GFT is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join the Environmental Sciences Team in Owings Mills, MD. This hybrid role requires regular attendance at the Owings Mills office and leads complex environmental projects across multiple disciplines.

You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, oversee scheduling and budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving business development and practice performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Geology, Natural Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive environmental consulting experience; minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a team/staff.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a project management capacity and with large project portfolios.
• Proven record of client management, business development, and strategic pursuit leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for complex environmental projects and programs.
• Mentor project/task managers, technical staff, and emerging leaders.
• Direct large, complex environmental projects across offices and teams.
• Establish project scopes, work plans, budgets, schedules, and risk strategies.
• Maintain strong client relations with regulators and stakeholders.
