Job summary

Global Edge Group is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead offshore activities for deepwater Gulf of Mexico projects. You will oversee fabrication, assembly, and offshore installation of platforms, subsea systems, and related facilities, ensuring safety, schedule, and compliance.

You will collaborate with engineering, project management, and fabrication yards, coordinating crews, materials, and equipment while applying PTW, MOC, JSA, and SEMS processes to deliver quality results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of offshore construction management/supervisory experience (15+ preferred).
• Proven track record supervising fabrication, manufacturing and offshore installation of deepwater platforms, topsides, and subsea infra.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fabrication, assembly, and offshore installation of platforms and subsea systems. Coordinate personnel, materials, and equipment to hit milestones.
• Champion HSE performance across design, fabrication, and offshore execution; enforce MOC, PTW, JSA/JHA, and SEMS compliance.
• Participate in constructability reviews, 3D model reviews, and heavy lift/rigging assessments; assist with design evaluations and cost estimation.
• Collaborate with procurement, fabrication, and installation teams; supervise QA/QC and third-party inspection.
• Deliver progress updates and field reports to Construction/Project Managers; ensure proper QA/QC documentation and handover packages.
• Monitor and assist with budget control for capital/operational scopes; support project managers.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join a premier Deepwater Facilities, Engineering, and Construction team supporting major offshore development projects in the Gulf of Mexico.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication, assembly, and offshore installation of deepwater production platforms, process facilities, and subsea systems. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, project managers, fabrication yards, and offshore installation contractors to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within technical specifications, and in strict compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execution & Site Oversight: Provide direct supervisory oversight of fabrication, manufacturing, and offshore installation activities for production platforms and subsea systems. Coordinate qualified personnel, materials, and equipment to hit project milestones, including POB (Persons on Board) planning and mobilization/demobilization.
• HSE Leadership & Compliance: Champion HSE performance across design development, yard fabrication, and offshore execution. Enforce operational controls including Management of Change (MOC), Isolation of Control/ICC, Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA), and Permit to Work (PTW) systems. Verify all activities comply with Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) and regulatory requirements.
• Constructability & Technical Support: Participate in constructability, 3D model, and heavy lift/rigging reviews. Assist Project Engineers and Managers with constructability inputs, design evaluations, and cost estimation during early engineering and planning phases.
• Procurement & Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to prepare technical specifications and bid inquiry packages for the procurement, fabrication, and installation of offshore structures and equipment. Supervise manufacturing quality and coordinate third-party inspection teams.
• Documentation & Reporting: Deliver accurate, timely progress updates and field reports to Construction Managers, Project Managers, and key stakeholders. Ensure QA/QC compliance, NDE tracking, manufacturing records, and project handover packages are compiled accurately.
• Budget Oversight: Assist in monitoring Capital and Operational project scopes, typically ranging between $50,000 and $500,000 gross, supporting the Construction Manager and Project Manager in overall cost control.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 12 years of relevant offshore construction management/supervisory experience (15+ years strongly preferred).
• Domain Expertise: Proven track record supervising the fabrication, manufacturing, and offshore installation of deepwater production platforms, topsides, and subsea infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico or similar offshore basins.
• Education: Background in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; equivalent combination of hands‑on industry experience and certifications will be considered.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of QA/QC standards, NDE inspection methods, offshore lifting/rigging practices, and industry design codes/regulations governing offshore oilfield installations.
• Safety & Regulatory Systems: Thorough operational understanding of offshore Permit to Work (PTW), JSA review processes, MOC workflows, and BSEE/SEMS regulations.
• Communication & Teamwork: Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to align diverse project teams and third-party contractors.
