Job summary

Danos, LLC seeks a Deepwater Production Operator A / Marine Systems Technician A to join its offshore team. This senior role supports safe operation of the production processing plant and helps maintain stability of a floating facility on multi‑faceted projects.

The individual will operate and maintain production and marine systems, support ballast transfers, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Rotation and travel may be international.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Marine and Ballast Control experience required and certification preferred.
• 10–15 years of offshore experience as a Production Operator required.
• ENG1 or equivalent international offshore medical certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of production process and utility systems.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize process parameters within operating limits.
• Perform production sampling and act on sample results as required.
• Troubleshoot process issues to maximize sales quality and delivery volume.
• Monitor and operate electrical and hydraulic control panels, safety systems, and ESD/F&G systems.
• Ensure accurate daily production reporting is completed.
• Witness third‑party calibrations to verify meter factors and production volumes.
• Assist with export oil meter proving activities.

Overview

The Deepwater Production Operator A / Marine Systems Technician A is a multi‑skilled senior offshore operations role responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of the production processing plant and assisting in maintaining the stability and integrity of a floating production facility.

This position operates and maintains production and marine systems, supports facility stability through ballast and fluid transfer operations, and ensures work is performed in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Candidates should be open to international rotational assignments on a 28‑day on / 28‑day off schedule, as required.

Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Participate in the startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of production process and utility systems.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize process parameters including level, flow, temperature, and pressure within operating limits.
• Perform production sampling and act on sample results as required.
• Troubleshoot process issues to maximize sales quality and delivery volume.
• Monitor and operate electrical and hydraulic control panels, safety systems, emergency shutdown systems, and Fire and Gas systems.
• Ensure accurate daily production reporting is completed in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Witness third‑party calibrations, when required, to verify meter factors and production volumes.
• Assist with export oil meter proving activities.

Marine & Facility Systems

• Support marine operations with particular emphasis on:
• Ballast and fluid transfer operations
• Vessel stability and facility integrity
• Hull, deck, and lifting equipment operations
• Assist in maintaining facility stability through weight shift and center‑of‑gravity calculations.
• Perform inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of:
• Ballast pumps and valves
• Seawater and bilge systems
• Deck and mooring equipment

Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Compliance

• Perform all operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, in accordance with company policies and customer requirements.
• Maintain discharge water quality in compliance with SBMPC or applicable local regulatory guidelines.
• Operate under the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including participation in toolbox talks and risk assessments.
• Facilitate maintenance activities by applying and removing system isolations as required.
• Advise maintenance personnel on potential hazards associated with plant and equipment.

Maintenance & Documentation

• Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect production, utility, and marine equipment.
• Perform and maintain all mandatory paperwork required by customers and regulatory agencies.
• Support chemical treatment operations, including chemical handling and application.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely communications during maintenance and operational activities.

Qualifications

• This position is for a new deepwater production platform that is under construction. This position will have an office schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely then it will transition to an international rotation schedule of 28x28 until the construction overseas is completed. Once the platform is sailed to its permanent home in the Gulf of America, the rotation schedule will be 21x21.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Marine and Ballast Control experience required and certification preferred.
• 10–15 years of offshore experience as a Production Operator required.
• Strong working knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
• Medically fit for offshore work; ENG1 or equivalent international offshore medical certification.
