Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an on-site Site Supervisor for a North America Building Solutions project. The role requires seasoned construction project management with strong BAS controls, electrical and mechanical systems experience.

You will interact with customer staff and management regularly while overseeing site activities for a local customer. The position emphasizes coordinating subcontractors, validating systems, and ensuring safety and quality across multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Project/Construction Management preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of construction management experience.
• Manages contractual commitments of contractors including cost, quality, and schedule.
• Develops long-term relationships with customers in revamping and expansion.
• Demonstrates ability to persuade, negotiate, and influence others.
• Ability to be on multiple sites during the course of a week.

Responsibilities

• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to meet critical path timelines.
• Program and assist with troubleshooting when necessary.
• Perform quality control duties on the work and communicate with project team.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with scope, site standards, and drawings/interfaces.
• Coordinate commissioning and validation activities on-site with commissioning agents and site automation engineers.
• Schedule commissioning and validation activities with the Validation Engineering Team.
• Perform technical reviews of test documents, software, and graphics.
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Maintain daily on-site activity log and track progress.
• Ensure deficiencies are corrected and closed out.
• Walk units daily to monitor progress and plan ahead.
• Preside over weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Issue notices of non-compliance when needed.
• Keep the job site clean and organized.
• Identify and complete punch lists for progress and completion.

What you will do

The Site Supervisor is part of our Building Solutions, North America business at Johnson Controls. This position will work onsite for a local customer managing a construction project. Ideal candidate who is a seasoned construction project mgt experience. Looking for strong BAS controls, electrical and mechanical systems experience. Will interact with our customer staff and management on a regular basis.

How you will do it

• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

• Program and assist with troubleshooting when necessary.

• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.

• Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

• Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

• Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.

• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.

• Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

What we look for

Required

• Degree in Project/Construction Management preferred or equivalent work experience.

• 3 years of construction management experience. Understands project scope and customer expectations.

• Responsible for a medium to large project, manages the contractual commitments of contractors including cost, quality, and schedule and coordinates their field activities.

• Focuses on developing long term relationships with customers in revamping, debottlenecking and expanding resource capacity.

• Demonstrates the ability to persuade, negotiate, and influence others.

• Ability to be on multiple sites during the course of a week

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $73,400 - 100,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
