Nlcinc is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee high-end residential and commercial hardscape and landscape installations in North Andover, MA. You will guide projects from land prep through installation to final finishing touches, requiring a calm, decisive leader who ensures flawless quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include supervising site work, interpreting blueprints, directing field crews, and enforcing safety and Massachusetts code standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as foreman/supervisor/project manager in hardscaping or construction.
• Technical knowledge of drainage, base preparation, slope calculation, and stone masonry.
• Experience operating heavy machinery and landscaping/hardscaping power tools.
• Strong leadership overseeing crews of 5–10 workers.
• Excellent communication with designers, clients, and management.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee high-end residential and commercial hardscape and landscape installations. You will manage projects from initial land prep and excavation through installation to the final finishing touches. This role requires an active leader who thrives under pressure, maintains flawless quality standards, and successfully manages multi-disciplinary crews.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Site Management

• Supervise site preparation, clearing, grading, and excavation phases.
• Oversee structural installations including complex patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor stairs.
• Interpret blueprints, design layouts, and technical specifications accurately.
• Solve site challenges promptly to keep projects moving forward.

Team Leadership & Operations

• Direct daily operations for field crews, scheduling tasks and setting clear performance targets.
• Enforce strict quality control to meet company standards and local Massachusetts building codes.
• Train and mentor crew members on proper hardscape installation techniques and equipment operation.
• Promote safety compliance by ensuring proper use of PPE, tools, and heavy machinery (skid steers, excavators).
• Manage field timelines under tight deadlines while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience & Skills

• Proven track record as a foreman, supervisor, or project manager in hardscaping or construction.
• Technical knowledge of drainage, base preparation, slope calculation, and stone masonry.
• Expertise operating heavy machinery and standard landscaping/hardscaping power tools.
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success managing crews of 5 to 10 workers.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with designers, clients, and upper management.

License & Logistics

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in variable Massachusetts weather conditions.
