Position Title: Project Superintendent (this is a traveling superintendent position)

Company: Fairway Construction Co., Inc., a subsidiary of JES Holdings, LLC.

Location: Texas region which includes within 2-4 hours around the Dallas/Fort-Worth area

Travel: This role will require 100% travel to project sites. Overnight stays are required when project is over 1 hour from your residence.

Ideal Candidate will have experience within ground up, stick built, multi-family construction utilizing Procore.

POSITION SUMMARY / PURPOSE

The Project Superintendent is responsible for maintaining the overall construction schedule and completion dates, providing input during scheduling and throughout the project. This position travels frequently, with overnight stays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Maintain the overall construction schedule and completion dates, providing input during scheduling exercises.
2. Manage the project budget and identify value engineering opportunities.
3. Supervise all on-site subcontractors, laborers, and FWC staff.
4. Verify quality of construction and installation processes, including measurements and elevations.
5. Ensure compliance with city, county, and state codes and regulations.
6. Maintain safety standards and conduct weekly safety meetings on-site.
7. Resolve on-site problems and questions from subcontractors and workers.
8. Coordinate all deliveries to the site.
9. Ensure all EarthCraft requirements are met and documented.
10. Attend company meetings representing current projects, including monthly meetings with owners at various locations.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. Interpreting building blueprints, including estimating.
2. Building and site construction skills and knowledge.
3. Proficiency with construction software: Microsoft Project, ProCore, Netsuite.
4. Experience working with third-party developers and local officials.
5. On-site supervisory construction experience.
6. Strong communication skills.
7. OSHA training and EarthCraft certification.
8. Knowledge of ADA standards or certification.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Project management, time management, math, and critical thinking skills.
11. Reliable transportation and ability to drive to company locations.
12. Ability to stay overnight if project site is over 1 hour away; own vehicle required. Family members are not permitted to travel.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years of construction experience. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred. Experience in multi-family and stick-built construction is required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Indirect supervision of subcontractors, laborers, and interns.

Indirect oversight of subcontractors, laborers, and interns.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical activities include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures and exposure to chemicals. Equipment used includes telephone, computer, fax/scanner/copier, smartphone, camera, and power/tools.
