Job summary

Mortenson Construction seeks a Superintendent to coordinate planning, supervision, and craft activities across a defined discipline. You will develop customer relationships and ensure safety, quality, and project schedule adherence on Milwaukee-area projects. Two levels (I and II) are available based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years construction management or related experience.
• Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedule.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate with design engineers.
• Develop and manage project schedule and site logistics; collaborate with superintendents.
• Coach, supervise, and develop team members; conduct meetings and interviews as needed.
• Lead safety, quality, risk, and compliance management; seek process improvements.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Provide coaching and feedback; manage performance.
