Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent I/II to provide coordination, planning, and supervision for craft activities and assistant superintendents. Compensation varies by experience and location, with opportunities at both levels.

The role emphasizes schedule-driven leadership, safety, quality, and collaboration with design engineers and project partners. An associate/bachelor degree or equivalent trade experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years construction management experience for Superintendent I
• Minimum 8 years construction management experience for Superintendent II
• Knowledge of construction law and business practices
• Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple complex projects

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate materials, equipment, and inspections to support project schedule.
• Review documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate with design engineers.
• Develop and manage project schedule and site logistics; collaborate with project partners.
• Coach and develop team members; conduct orientations, planning sessions, and site meetings.
• Ensure proper task coding; lead and track work progress; conduct training and career development.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Lead by example with coaching and feedback; manage performance.
• Oversee safety, quality, risk and compliance; seek process improvements
