Job summary

Kraus-Anderson Incorporated in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee all phases of small to medium projects, keeping them on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires extensive field leadership, the ability to run projects autonomously, and collaboration with owners, architects, and the planning team to ensure informed decisions and timely project finishes.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school.
• 5 – 10+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have Water/Wastewater experience.
• Developing verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Works to communicate with Project Manager, Project Assistant, and General Superintendent.
• Basic computer/tablet proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily construction activities at a work site.
• Ability to run small project autonomously; may run some medium jobs.
• Drive cost-effective project management techniques and strategies in the field.
• Keep the project on schedule and deal with problems as they arise.
• Basic project interview skills.
• Keep the job site safe and free of accidents.
• Authority to hire and fire internal employees as well as subcontractors.
• Initiate and manage RFI’s, change orders and other documents.
• Give direction and manage subcontractors and internal employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
