Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Superintendent I/II to coordinate, plan, and supervise craft activities and assistants, while developing customer relationships with excellent service.

The role supports project management and site operations, with compensation based on experience and location. Base pay varies by level and office location, with standard Mortenson benefits and incentive plan eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management.
• Or 10 years trade experience.
• Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedule.
• Review documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate with design engineers.
• Develop and manage project schedule; plan site logistics; collaborate with superintendents.
• Coach and develop team members; conduct orientations and site meetings; interview/hire as needed.
• Ensure proper task coding; track progress; oversee training and career development.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels; lead by example.
• Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance; seek improvements.
