Job summary

Montana Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to coordinate both personnel and equipment on heavy civil projects across Montana. You will manage day-to-day crew relations and client interactions, traveling to multiple job sites as needed.

The ideal candidate will supervise crews, mentor workers, and promote safe, efficient completion of high-quality projects, with a focus on leadership and communications across multiple scopes of work.

Qualifications

• Background in heavy civil construction including excavation, utilities, grading, site work, concrete and asphalt paving.
• Experience progressing from laborer to leadership; ability to teach and mentor crews.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, including personnel, scheduling, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop project schedules with Project Manager/Estimator and update as needed.
• Schedule projects, personnel, and equipment; coordinate movement and transport.
• Lead project meetings with agencies and customers.
• Support pre-bid and post-job meetings to assess performance and profitability.
• Interface daily with crew to assess needs and progress; ensure accurate timekeeping and cost tracking.
• Review plans with PM/engineer/crew lead before startup; ensure utilities, subcontracts, and materials are in place.
• Provide feedback to Estimating on job progress and field measurements.
