Job summary

SL Recruit invites a Healthcare Focused Superintendent to lead hospital and clinical construction projects across Florida from Tampa, Jacksonville, or Miami offices. You will oversee daily site operations, supervise field teams and subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in a superintendent position with healthcare project experience, proficiency in CM software, and willingness to travel within Florida.

Qualifications

A highly respected, award-winning general contractor-consistently recognized as a ‘Best Place to Work’ is seeking a talented Healthcare Focused Superintendent to join its dynamic team. This role would be based out of their Tampa, Jacksonville or Miami office and cover healthcare projects throughout Florida. The company also has a commercial & light industrial portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations at assigned construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
• Lead, mentor, and manage field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment logistics, and site inspections to maintain project momentum and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, maintain detailed daily logs, and report regularly to project managers and company leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of superintendent preferably with mid-scale commercial new builds and renovations - $1M-$15M+
• Experience with Healthcare projects preferred
• Proficiency in construction management software (such as Bluebeam, Procore, or similar)
• Willingness to travel within VA as project needs dictate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus
