Job summary

Premium West Construction, a Southern California leader in general contracting and specialty trades, seeks a Construction Superintendent for an on-site, San Diego-based role. You will oversee day-to-day field activities, coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensure work is on schedule, within budget, and compliant with plans and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar field leadership role on commercial or multi-trade projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building codes, and safety regulations (OSHA).
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and technical documents and identify constructability issues.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades (general construction, concrete, electrical) on active job sites.
• Proficient in project scheduling, daily planning, and progress tracking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field activities and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors, with daily logs and progress reports.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct site inspections, and address quality control issues.
• Review drawings/specifications and assist with scheduling and sequencing.
• Mentor field personnel and maintain a productive, respectful work environment.
