Job description

RBI is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee and manage jobsite operations for commercial construction projects.

Minimum Experience: 8-10 Years

This role involves collaborating closely with internal teams, clients/owners, A/E professionals, and trade partners/vendors to enhance the construction process, ensuring a rewarding experience for all involved.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Manage daily jobsite operations, including scheduling, procurement, and resource management.
2. Supervise all on-site construction activities, including labor and subcontractors, and resolve daily contract issues.
3. Inspect work during construction to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and permits.
4. Proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
5. Maintain detailed logs and administrative documentation.
6. Ensure OSHA safety standards and lead safety and quality assurance programs.
7. Assist with pre-planning, document reviews, scheduling, and risk management.
8. Manage project closeout, including O&M manuals submission.
9. Document project activities thoroughly in writing and photos, stored in Procore.
10. Understand subcontractor scopes and tolerances.
11. Coordinate with team members to meet schedule demands and milestones.

Skills and Requirements:

1. College Degree (2-4 years), preferably in construction management or related field.
2. 4-10 years of experience in commercial construction, with 8-10 years preferred.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Procore, Bluebeam.
4. Strong problem-solving skills related to cost, scheduling, staffing.
5. Effective communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
6. Leadership skills to manage jobsite teams professionally and with integrity.
7. Ability to interpret blueprints, contracts, specifications, and schedules.
8. Excellent relationship-building skills.
9. Multitasking and organizational skills from pre-planning to project completion.
10. Understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
11. Must pass background check and drug test.
12. Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
