Job summary

Donohoe Construction Company seeks a skilled Superintendent for its Building Enhancements team in Bethesda, MD. This on-site leadership role oversees field planning, staffing, safety, and quality on active projects.

You will coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors, push for on-time, on-budget completion, and manage daily field reporting, schedules, and means/methods reviews. DMV-area work and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in construction (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc) preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 3+ years applicable experience for Assistant Superintendent or 5+ years for Superintendent.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Should possess construction related computer software skills for scheduling and project management.
• Ability to work at any location within the DMV is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan on-site field staffing, cost control, and supervision.
• Ensure projects meet time and cost objectives for self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Maintain Owner/Architect relationships.
• Ensure safety measures meet policy.
• Implement quality control policies at the job site.
• Assist PM with scheduling, constructability reviews, and means/methods logic.
• Develop and enforce site logistics and occupied space plan.
• Lead coordination meetings with Owner/Architect/Contractor and subcontractors.
• Develop and enforce a project QA/workmanship program with all subs.
• Collaborate on monthly progress reporting.
• Maintain daily/weekly reports, RFIs, punch lists, timesheets, and jobsite controls.
