Job summary

The Donohoe Construction Company, part of The Donohoe Companies, Inc., is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead the New Construction team on complex projects in the Washington, DC region. You will oversee on-site operations, coordinate with owners, designers and PMs, and drive master schedules and daily reports.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of field supervision, strong scheduling skills, and a track record of managing large-scale projects worth tens of millions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of superintendent or construction-related experience.
• Experience with scheduling software.
• Experience on projects such as office, government, hi-tech, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or multi-family.
• Projects typically ranging from $40M–$100M.
• LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general construction operations on a project, including scheduling and activity sequencing.
• Forecast manpower and placement and manage subcontractors and specific trades.
• Lead a project team and collaborate with Project Management staff.
• Coordinate with Owners, design consultants, and PMs.
• Enforce Safety Program and manage Quality Control Program.
• Develop and update the master project schedule; prepare daily activity reports.
• Lead weekly foreman meetings and resolve day-to-day field issues.
