Job summary

The Donohoe Construction Company is seeking a highly motivated Superintendent to join our Building Enhancements team in the DMV area. You will lead on-site planning, staffing, scheduling, and cost control to ensure the timely, quality completion of projects.

You will maintain close Owner/Architect relationships, enforce safety and quality policies, and coordinate with subcontractors. The role requires 5+ years of superintendent experience, strong leadership, and construction software proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction preferred.
• 3+ years for Assistant Superintendent or 5+ years for Superintendent.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Construction-related computer software skills for scheduling and project management.
• Ability to work at any location within the DMV.

Responsibilities

• On-site field planning, staffing, cost control and supervision.
• Ensure completion of projects to meet time and cost objectives for self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Maintain Owner/Architect relationship.
• Ensure safety measures meet/exceed policy.
• Implement quality control policies at the job site.
• Develop project schedule with constructability reviews and methods logic.
• Develop and enforce site logistics including temporary facilities and access.
• Lead coordination meetings with Owner/Architect/Contractor, subcontractors, and team.
• Establish quality assurance and workmanship program with subcontractors.
• Collaborate with Project Manager on monthly progress reporting.
• Manage field reporting: daily/weekly reports, RFIs, punch lists, labor, quantities, incidents, timesheets.
• Maintain complete set of as-builts and review plans, contracts, subs, and docs.
• Support two/ six-week schedule development and updates to align with CPM master schedule.
• Ensure compliance with insurance, safety, labor relations, and EEO.
