Job description

We are currently partnered with a growing Boston-area General Contractor in their search for a Multifamily Superintendent to join their field operations team.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established builder with a strong pipeline of multifamily and residential construction throughout Greater Boston. The company has continued to grow by focusing on high-quality project delivery, maintaining a hands‑on leadership structure, and giving its field teams meaningful ownership over their projects.

The Superintendent will be responsible for day-to-day field leadership on ground‑up multifamily and mixed‑use developments, typically ranging from mid‑sized apartment projects to larger urban residential developments.

Projects are primarily located throughout Boston and Greater Boston and often involve tight urban logistics, detailed sequencing, aggressive schedules, and coordination across a wide range of subcontractors and trade partners.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a Superintendent who wants to take full ownership of the field while working within a company where leadership remains closely involved in project delivery.

You will work directly with project management and executive leadership to manage schedule, safety, quality, subcontractor coordination, logistics, and overall site execution from mobilization through closeout.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading all day-to-day field operations
• Managing subcontractors and trade partners
• Developing and maintaining project schedules and look-aheads
• Coordinating site logistics and material deliveries
• Leading subcontractor coordination and weekly field meetings
• Maintaining site safety and quality standards
• Reviewing drawings and identifying constructability issues
• Coordinating inspections and working with local authorities
• Managing punch list, turnover, and project closeout
• Working closely with Project Managers and ownership to keep projects on schedule and within budget

Ideal Background

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience
• Previous experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent
• Strong background in ground‑up multifamily construction
• Experience with wood-frame, podium, or similar residential building systems
• Proven ability to manage projects from foundations through turnover
• Strong subcontractor management and scheduling capabilities
• Experience working on projects throughout Greater Boston preferred
• OSHA 30 preferred
• $125,000 - $165,000
