Job summary

McGuire Builders is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations across Southern California, with projects in hospitality, hotel and tenant improvements. Based in Torrance, you will manage subcontractors, monitor safety, and ensure quality while delivering on-time, on-budget results.

The role requires strong leadership, Procore proficiency, and a solid track record in hotel/restaurant construction with familiarity with CA codes and OSHA practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in tenant improvement, hotel and restaurant construction/renovations.
• Procore proficiency and scheduling software knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of California building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, schedules, and specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects on-site, ensuring safety, schedule and budget compliance.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, field staff and suppliers for smooth operations.
• Interpret and enforce project plans, specifications and contracts.
• Maintain project schedules and proactively address potential delays.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations through regular site inspections and meetings.
• Perform quality control to meet client expectations.
• Communicate progress and issues to project managers and senior leadership.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, architects, engineers and inspectors.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team and oversee projects across Southern California. This role is based out of our Torrance office and requires strong field leadership, attention to detail, and a proven track record in hotel, restaurant, and tenant improvement construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects on-site, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
• Interpret and enforce project plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Maintain project schedules and proactively identify and resolve potential delays.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety meetings.
• Conduct quality control checks to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to project managers and senior leadership.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in tenant improvement, hotel and restaurant construction/renovations.
• Proficiency in Procore (required) and familiarity with scheduling software and MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, construction methods, and safety regulations in California.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and specifications.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites across Southern California.
