Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on modular cleanroom and mission-critical projects across pharmaceutical, biotech and semiconductor sectors in Irvine, CA. You will oversee preconstruction through project completion, manage subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and drive schedules and resource utilization.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of superintendent experience, cleanroom exposure a plus, strong leadership and OSHA knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, life sciences or mission-critical projects.
• Cleanroom experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel 100% to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Attend preconstruction and project kickoff meetings.
• Review scope, schedule and milestones with Project Manager before mobilization.
• Coordinate jobsite setup, logistics and site safety.
• Manage daily field operations to meet safety, quality and schedule.
• Supervise subcontractors, field crews and trade partners.
• Coordinate installation activities to maintain project schedules.
• Build strong relationships with clients, inspectors, engineers and stakeholders.
• Ensure work meets contract documents and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor manpower, equipment and material utilization.
• Generate short-term look-ahead schedules and ensure resource availability.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project records.
• Lead daily safety briefings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Identify and resolve field issues and communicate updates to PM.
• Support project closeout, punch lists and turnover.

Metric Geo is partnering with a leading design-build contractor specializing in modular cleanrooms, controlled environments, and mission-critical facilities, on the search for an experienced Construction Superintendent. This is an opportunity to lead innovative projects across the pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing sectors while overseeing field operations from preconstruction through project completion.

Responsibilities

• Attend all required preconstruction and project kickoff meetings
• Review project scope, schedule, and milestones with the Project Manager before mobilization
• Coordinate jobsite setup, logistics, and site safety prior to construction activities
• Manage daily field operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications
• Supervise subcontractors, field crews, and trade partners throughout all phases of construction
• Coordinate installation activities to maintain project schedules and minimize disruptions
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, inspectors, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Ensure all work meets quality standards, contract documents, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization to maximize productivity
• Generate and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules to support project execution
• Verify that all required materials, equipment, and resources are available as scheduled
• Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, site documentation, and project records
• Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively while communicating updates to the Project Management team
• Support project closeout activities, punch list completion, and final turnover to the client
• Perform other construction-related duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (Construction Management or related education preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, life sciences, or mission-critical projects
• Cleanroom experience an advantage!
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel 100%
