Job summary

Metric Geo, partnering with a leading design-build contractor, seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations from preconstruction through project completion across modular cleanrooms and mission-critical facilities. Ideal candidates have five years of superintendent experience on commercial/industrial projects, cleanroom exposure is a plus, and must be able to travel 100%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Construction Management or related education preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, life sciences, or mission-critical projects
• Cleanroom experience is an advantage
• $50m+ project experience is a plus
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel 100%

Responsibilities

• Attend all required preconstruction and project kickoff meetings
• Review project scope, schedule, and milestones with the Project Manager before mobilization
• Coordinate jobsite setup, logistics, and site safety prior to construction activities
• Manage daily field operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications
• Supervise subcontractors, field crews, and trade partners throughout all phases of construction
• Coordinate installation activities to maintain project schedules and minimize disruptions
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, inspectors, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Ensure all work meets quality standards, contract documents, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization to maximize productivity
• Generate and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules to support project execution
• Verify that all required materials, equipment, and resources are available as scheduled
• Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, site documentation, and project records
• Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively while communicating updates to the Project Management team
• Support project closeout activities, punch list completion, and final turnover to the client
• Perform other construction-related duties as required
