Job summary

Nexus Data Centers in Hubbard, TX is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field construction across Civil, Piping, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines on a large data center campus. You will own daily field execution, coordinate multiple subcontractors, and drive schedule adherence while enforcing safety and quality standards.

This on-site role requires deep leadership on a live, high-volume site, with close collaboration with Project Engineers and QA/QC teams to manage RFIs,

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a Superintendent in heavy industrial, power generation, utility-scale, or large-scale commercial construction.
• Deep field leadership experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously.
• Strong working knowledge of codes, standards, and inspection requirements.

Construction Superintendent | Civil, Piping, Mechanical, or Electrical | Hubbard, TX

Nexus Data Centers is hiring Superintendents to lead field construction on our multi-gigawatt hyperscale AI data center campus in Hill County, TX, one of the largest self-powered data center builds underway. We\'re hiring across Civil, Piping, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines to run day-to-day field operations on a live, large-scale site.

What You\'ll Do

• Own daily field execution for your discipline: sequencing, crew coordination, and productivity across multiple subcontractors
• Drive schedule adherence and flag or resolve field issues before they become delays
• Enforce quality standards and safety protocols across your scope
• Coordinate directly with Project Engineers, Field Engineers, and QA/QC on RFIs, submittals, and inspections
• Manage subcontractor performance, manpower loading, and material logistics for your area
• Participate in daily/weekly progress meetings and look-ahead scheduling
• Support commissioning teams as systems move from construction to turnover

Discipline-Specific Focus

• Civil Superintendent: Sitework, grading, foundations, underground utilities, concrete, and site logistics across the campus footprint.
• Piping Superintendent: Above- and below-ground piping installation, welding/fabrication oversight, hydrotesting, and tie-ins across power generation and data hall scopes.
• Mechanical Superintendent: Equipment installation, HVAC/cooling systems, equipment piping connections, and start-up support for data hall and power generation infrastructure.
• Electrical Superintendent: Medium- and low-voltage installation, cable pulling and terminations, grounding, switchgear and transformer setting, and support for energization and start-up across power generation and data hall scopes.

What You Bring

• 7+ years as a Superintendent in heavy industrial, power generation, utility-scale, or large-scale commercial construction (LNG, solar EPC, oil & gas, or similar backgrounds welcome; data center experience not required)
• Deep field leadership experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously
• Strong working knowledge of your discipline\'s codes, standards, and inspection requirements
• Comfortable driving schedule and quality on a fast-moving, high-accountability site
• Ability to be on-site full-time in Hubbard, TX

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Spends the majority of each workday on foot in active construction areas, standing and walking on uneven ground for extended periods
• Climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding, and work at heights or in confined spaces as scope requires
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and grasping
• Work outdoors year-round in Central Texas conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, and high noise levels
• Wear required PPE on site at all times, including hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, and steel-toed boots
• Valid driver\'s license and the ability to travel across a large, active site daily
• Extended hours, including occasional nights and weekends, as the construction schedule requires
