Our projects include commercial, retail, industrial and medical businesses, municipal buildings, urban renovation, and manufacturing and educational facilities. Major Functions:

• Quality Control
• Project communication and documentation
• Execute construction drawings
• Project safety
• Drive jobsite cleanliness
• Manage trade partners

Responsible for the project’s success “on the ground”. The site superintendent is responsible for moving the project forward once it starts, driving and communicating schedule, solving issues, and managing the job day-to-day.

Typical duties include:

• Maintaining, updating, communicating, and enforcing project schedule
• Coordinating and scheduling inspections and testing
• Communication of project schedule to trades, ownership, and the PM
• Review of all submittals and shop drawings
• Write and manage detailed RFI’s
• Write daily logs
• Write and distribute subcontractor progress meeting minutes
• Communicate 1, 2, and 3 week look ahead to trades and office in writing weekly
• Communicate staffing needs for the project
• Identify potential issues before they arise, and address as needed
• Communicate changes in scope to trades, owner, subcontractors, and project manager
• Maintain exact knowledge of the plans and specifications and identify potential issues
• Quality control
• Run subcontractor progress meetings
• Run owner progress meeting with project manager
• Maintain site cleanliness
• Accountable for site safety
• Be the onsite face of Dykhouse Construction
• Responsible for project punch list
• Manage long lead time items in relation to project schedule
• Assist with self-perform scope of work as time allows
