Job summary

Next150 Construction Services seeks a Construction Superintendent to support daily field operations, coordinating trade contractors and field activities while upholding safety standards and quality control. This role develops foundational field leadership skills and collaborates with senior leadership to ensure safe, organized jobsite execution.

Responsibilities include planning, documentation, safety observations, and tracking productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 1-3 years in field leadership/supervisor construction; 3-8 years construction experience.
• OSHA 10 certified with ability to obtain OSHA 30 within 3 months of hire.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, safety and site operations software, and construction management software.
• Knowledge of construction-documenting and drawing; knowledge of all phases of construction.
• Knowledge in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, cost control, and forecasting.
• Strong labor relations with union and non-union engagement.
• Commitment to Zero Injury and sustainability practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination of assigned trade contractors and field activities to help maintain schedule compliance and daily execution.
• Work in accordance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and approved work plans for assigned scopes.
• Support site safety protocols and participate in safety orientations and field safety activities.
• Stay informed of daily field activities and monitor work in progress to support compliance with approved work plans.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and field documentation using CM software; support safety audits and documentation.
• Support enforcement of safety and quality control policies and escalate concerns to senior field supervision.
• Monitor work for compliance with plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Attend and participate in project meetings as required to support communication and coordination.
• Assist in tracking craft productivity, labor hours, and production quantities; report variances to senior field leadership.
• Assist with workforce coordination, basic forecasting, field data collection, and quantification of basic labor, material, and equipment needs.
• Establish credibility with Owners, trade contractors, unions, and field personnel through professional conduct.
• Promote sustainability practices, housekeeping standards, and environmental compliance on the jobsite.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 1 -3 years of experience in a field leadership/supervisor level construction role; 3- 8 years construction experience
• OSHA 10 certified with the ability to obtain an OSHA 30 certification within 3 months of hireOrequivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong technical and communication skills

• Ability to work in a team environment

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For Upstate New York this ranges from $65,000.00 -$95,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
