Hercules Fence is hiring an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations in Jessup, Maryland. You will oversee all aspects of construction, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects meet schedule and budget.

Job description

Hercules Fence is a premier fence and perimeter security company in the VA/DC/MD area. We excel in commercial and high security work at some of the most prestigious locations in the United States. Hercules is hiring an experienced Construction Superintendentto be a leader at our Jessup, Maryland location.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of field operations on construction projects
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality, and adherence to project requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success
• Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including daily reports, change orders, and RFIs

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or related field
• Proficiency in construction management software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Prolog, Primavera, or ProCore
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, scheduling, and project management principles
• Familiarity with contract administration and interpretation
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise during construction projects
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

Compensation:

$80-$95K. This is a full-time position that may require additional hours depending on current job schedules. You will be issued a company cell phone and laptop.

Physical Requirements:

• Safe lifting technique and ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend or lift for at least eight hours

Other:

• High School Education or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• The ability to gain access to Government work sites is desirable. Preference given to U.S. citizens due to multiple contracts requiring U.S. citizenship job access
• Reliable transportation
