Job summary

Hercules Custom Iron is a premier custom metal fabricator, fence and perimeter security company in the DC/VA/MD area. We excel in commercial and high security work at some of the most prestigious locations in the United States. Hercules is hiring an experienced Field Superintendent to be a leader at our Frederick, Maryland location.

What You Will Do

Assist in managing the production department to increase the productivity and profitability of the entire Hercules Team. A willingness to get the job done and work as a team player to implement Hercules processes and procedures. You will bring at least 5 years of experience and knowledge.

Job Summary

• Work closely with Project Managers and Production Manager to understand all aspects of the project
• Read and execute job plans
• Manage a team and provide direction to workers on the order of tasks to be performed
• Plan daily tasks and work schedules so that conflicts do not occur and deadlines are met
• Inspect work performed by employees and provide constructive feedback
• Will be responsible for all equipment and materials, as well as their safe storage and usage
• Responsible for communicating site rules regarding safety procedures and enforcing those rules
• Responsible for tracking employees’ hours and completing all required paperwork; daily reports, safety reports, etc.
• Holding subcontractor and crews accountable for job completion
• Travel to job sites as needed for quality control and jobsite closeout
• Hands‑on work in the field/shop as required

Compensation

$28 - $34 per hour DOE. $2500 sign‑on bonus (½ paid after 30 days, ½ paid after 60 days). This is a full‑time position that may require additional hours depending on current job schedules. You will be issued a company cell phone and laptop.

Physical Requirements

• Safe lifting technique and ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend or lift for at least eight hours

• High School Education or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• The ability to gain access to Government work sites is desirable. Preference given to U.S. citizens due to multiple contracts requiring U.S. citizenship job access
