Job summary

Staff Financial Group in North Atlanta/Suwanee is seeking a Staff Accountant to lead heavy A/P work in a direct-hire, long-term role. The position focuses on full-cycle accounts payable and will grow toward a broader staff accountant function.

You'll work with project managers and vendors, handle job cost coding and reconciliations, and may advance into month-end close, billing, retainage, and pay applications.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction accounting experience (2+ preferred).
• Hands-on, full-cycle A/P with real volume.
• Strong Excel and sharp attention to detail.
• Procore experience a plus; learning on the job.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle A/P, job cost coding, and account reconciliations.
• Vendor and subcontractor documentation (W-9s, COIs, lien waivers/releases).
• Follow-up and communication with vendors, subs, project managers, and internal staff.
• Room to grow into month-end close, billing, retainage, and pay applications.
