Base pay range

$58.00/hr - $61.00/hr

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Construction Specialist III with our large power and utilities client in Cayuga, IN. This is a 24‑month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay: $58.00 - $61.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Description: The Construction Specialist provides contractor oversight for field activities. This includes adherence to drawings and specifications, coordination of activities with existing facility, and oversight safety, environmental, and QA/QC compliance. They will support the Site Construction Manager in contractor management as well as be the interface for Discipline Engineers for construction issues.

Strong civil/earthwork/rebar fabrication/concrete placement experience in power plant construction is preferred.

Additional responsibilities include:

Monitor performance by the contractor and their subcontractors regarding civil/earthwork, rebar fabrication/concrete placements, mechanical systems and piping (underground and above ground), electrical and instrumentation systems
Ensure compliance with safe work practices and environmental work practices
Monitor performance against the schedule
Validate milestones and/ or quantities submitted by the contractor for payment
Assist in resolution of field problems as appropriate
Identify and provide field observations of key work activities
Ensure the quality of construction through continuous monitoring of the construction and installation QC process
Communicate and collaborate with team members daily to address construction issues
Attend project and department meetings as required
Supports a diverse Construction and Maintenance team to achieve company objectives and is responsible for the execution of construction, maintenance and restoration activities.
Possesses leadership skills to support construction, maintenance and restoration activities.
Responsible for supporting the execution of the work to meet customer needs.
Support management of customer commitment dates and requests to increase customer satisfaction.
Ensure the adherence to safe work practices, standards, work methods and procedures.
