Job Description

As a Special Inspections Technician II (SIT II), you will work under the supervision of a registered professional engineer, performing inspections and sampling for quality assurance on construction projects. Responsibilities include collecting and testing materials like concrete and soil, monitoring contractor activities, and preparing detailed reports for project engineers.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of construction materials testing experience or more than 5 years' experience with relevant skills.
• Active certifications: ACI-1 Concrete and ICC Soils (or SCDOT/NCDOT Earthwork); ability to obtain additional certifications within three months.
• Valid driver's license with a clean three-year driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including early mornings.
• Self-motivated with good communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and efficient with time management.
• Proficient with smartphones and MS Office.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, lift (up to 85 pounds), and work on uneven ground.
