Forsyth Tech is seeking a Part-time Construction Skills Instructor to teach basic construction trades at the Goodwill Center in Winston‑Salem, NC. The role involves developing courses, assessing student learning, and maintaining records.

You will support students from recruitment through graduation, emphasizing inclusive pedagogy and equity. The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree or 5+ years in construction, able to teach face-to-face and online formats, and willing to travel to multiple

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or at least five years of construction experience.
• Ability to teach face‑to‑face, online asynchronous, and online synchronous classes.
• Willingness to travel to multiple campuses or offsite locations.
• Flexibility to teach morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend classes.
• Understanding of assessment and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace and related collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach assignments as approved by Department Chair and Dean.
• Design inclusive instructional activities that maximize equitable outcomes.
• Maintain college records, attendance and grades.
• Assess student learning using appropriate modalities.
• Utilize learning management systems and update course materials.
• Contribute to curriculum and program development.
• Foster belonging and inclusive curriculum and practice.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
