Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College is seeking an exceptional adjunct instructor to teach Carpentry/Construction for continuing education. The faculty member will prepare and teach courses, maintain a quality learning environment, and support college operations across Greensboro, High Point or Cameron Campus.

The role requires a Diploma in Carpentry or related field, NCCER ICTP certification or ability to obtain, and 3 years of industry experience with 2 years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Carpentry, Construction or related field from an accredited college or university.
• NCCER ICTP certification or ability to attain before class start date.
• Associate’s degree in construction management preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• 2 years teaching or industry training experience in construction/carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach carpentry/construction courses for continuing education.
• Develop learner-centered lesson plans and diverse instructional materials.
• Maintain classroom and laboratory spaces and safety standards.
• Support college service, committees, and student success initiatives.
• Deliver day, evening, or weekend instruction as needed.
