Job summary

Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors, LLC is hiring a Skilled Laborer in Northern Virginia to support on-site construction tasks. You will use required tools, follow supervisor instructions, and assist trades colleagues across projects.

The role emphasizes safety, efficient material handling, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in commercial construction, HS diploma or GED, and readiness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• One (1) or more years of experience in commercial construction.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must understand safety rules and tool/equipment instructions.
• Have the ability to take measurements and make calculations.
• Have good communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Must pass any skills tests as required by the jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Uses required tools to complete assigned tasks on the job site.
• Follows instructions from supervisors and implements construction plans.
• Assists other trades workers on the job site.
• Builds and takes down scaffolding or temporary structures, as required.
• Maintains jobsite cleanliness, removing any safety hazards and following material disposal protocol.
• Assists with loading and unloading materials and equipment, distributing them to the appropriate locations as directed.
• Directs traffic during roadway construction, as required.
• Maintains equipment and tools.
• Keeps immediate working area clean and follows material procedures.
• Identifies and reports safety hazards and takes corrective action.
