Securitas US Business Unit in Iowa City, IA is seeking a Construction Site Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment. You will monitor premises, perform access control, and patrol diverse locations to deter threats.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, reporting hazards, and providing customer service to client personnel and visitors while following post orders and shift routines. Ideal candidates are 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, strong computer skills, and a professional

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule days will be broken up between 2 officers.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Access control for visitors, vendors, contractors, deliveries, etc.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
