Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a full-time Security Officer in Des Moines, IA. The position pays $18.00 per hour with 1st and 2nd shifts available.

The officer will monitor premises, manage access control, and patrol multiple client sites, ensuring safety and order while enforcing directives for personnel, visitors, and areas. Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED, strong computer skills, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and control access.
• Patrol a variety of locations.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
