Qualifications

• 2 years of safety experience in commercial building construction.
• Two-year degree in Safety and Health preferred; degree optional with experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Observe and stop work for immediate danger to life and health.
• Collaborate with Safety Director to implement corrective actions.
• Provide leadership on assigned projects and build relations with staff.
• Serve as site Safety Professional for all assigned construction projects.
• Act as onsite safety resource for issues and improvements.
• Coordinate with Subcontractor Safety Reps to ensure compliance.
• Conduct safety audits and require immediate corrective action by subs.
• Investigate and resolve safety issues for Pogue Construction.
• Communicate with project staff and subs to resolve field safety issues.
• Coordinate Safety Committee meetings and deliver training on accident prevention.
• Enforce safe work practices per regulations and contractual requirements.
• Educate staff on safety guidelines and policies.
• Conduct scheduled and impromptu safety trainings.
• Manage regulatory exposures to zero citations.
• Other duties as assigned
