Job Description: Site Industrial Safety Manager

Adelphi Construction, a proud subsidiary of IAC, offers comprehensive services including capital improvement projects, shutdowns, turnarounds, and plant maintenance. Headquartered in the Kansas City metropolitan area, our team boasts personnel with an average of over 25 years of experience, ensuring excellence in every project.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor construction sites to ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and other government safety regulations.
  • Create and conduct safety training programs for employees, vendors, and personnel on site.
  • Maintain records of training, safety meetings, concerns, incidents, and inspections.
  • Review blueprints, ventilation, lighting, and materials to design signage, disposal methods, and emergency evacuation plans.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections using provided apps.
  • Coordinate with OSHA and MSHA during site visits and reviews.
  • Distribute and collect safety PPE and supplies.
  • Compile safety reports and ensure compliance with building codes and environmental regulations.
  • Work with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to promote safe practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and travel as needed for projects across the country.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work independently and respond effectively to changing situations.
  • Use hand and power tools safely.
  • Work in high-stress environments while maintaining professionalism.
  • Complete reports and training promptly.
  • Tolerate working outdoors in severe weather and exposure to dust, noise, and high temperatures.

Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30-hour certification, OSHA 500, OSHA 510, CHST.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of field experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Strong communication, judgment, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting heavy objects, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and manual manipulation.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Hard hat, high-visibility clothing, safety vest, safety glasses, steel-toed or composite-toed boots.

Work involves both office and outdoor site environments, with exposure to various weather conditions. While generally safe, caution is necessary during onsite activities.
