Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, a national leader in industrial contracting, is seeking a full-time Site Safety Coordinator in Lubbock, TX. This role focuses on implementing safety programs and conducting frequent jobsite inspections with corrective actions.

You will work with foremen to plan safe execution of tasks, lead toolbox talks, conduct orientations, assist in safety training, provide on-site first aid, and ensure compliance with company policies. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year commercial electrical experience in a related position.
• HS Diploma/GED or higher education requirement.
• OSHA-30 Certification required.
• OSHA 510 or CHST preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Blood Bourne Pathogens certifications required.
• Pre-employment background and MVR checks required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures implementation of all IES and Client safety activities.
• Conducts frequent jobsite inspections, ensures corrective action taken to correct deficiencies.
• Works with foreman in planning how to perform non-routine job tasks safely.
• Participates in jobsite safety meetings and toolbox safety meetings.
• Conducts jobsite safety orientations.
• Assists in safety training as necessary.
• Conducts field training on all equipment for all employees.
• Assists in Hazards Recognition and corrections.
• Provides on-site first aid and CPR capabilities.
• Complies with all company and client safety policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required.
