Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, in Lubbock, TX, is seeking a full-time Safety Coordinator to lead on-site safety activities and program implementation. You will conduct frequent inspections, work with foremen on safe task execution, and participate in toolbox talks and orientations.

Role requires OSHA-30, First Aid/CPR/AED, Bloodborne Pathogens certifications, and at least 1 year of electrical safety experience. Travel may be required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year commercial electrical experience in a related position.
• OSHA-30 Certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Blood Bourne Pathogens Certifications.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Ensures implementation of all IES and Client safety activities.
• Conducts frequent jobsite inspections, ensures corrective action taken to correct deficiencies.
• Works with foreman in planning how to perform non-routine job tasks safely.
• Participates in jobsite safety meetings and periodic attendance at foreman toolbox safety meetings.
• Conducts jobsite safety orientations.
• Assists in safety training as necessary.
• Conducts field training on all equipment for all employees.
• Assists in Hazards Recognition and corrections.
• Provides on-site first aid and CPR capabilities.
• Complies with all company and client safety policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required.
