Job summary

Ross Group is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer to develop and manage safety and loss prevention for construction sites. You will oversee hazardous conditions, emergencies, training, audits, and regulatory compliance to protect personnel and assets.

The role requires hands-on safety leadership, the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, and travel to sites across the South and Midwest. Exempt status and field-based responsibilities are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety management on construction job sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage field staff and provide training and mentoring.
• Willing and able to travel to project sites across regions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage the safety and loss prevention program for construction site projects.
• Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities.
• Supervise and coordinate emergency action procedures, staffing, and training.
• Develop and administer job site safety/environmental training.
• Conduct daily project safety audits and investigations of accidents and injuries.
• Ensure project site compliance with safety regulations; document violations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field
