Job summary

Ross Group in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, seeks a Senior Safety Manager to develop, implement, and manage the safety and loss prevention program for construction site projects. You will lead a team, coordinate emergency procedures, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.

The role requires hands-on site safety leadership, strong communication, staff mentoring, and the ability to travel to project sites across the South and Midwest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
• Proven track record of maintaining quality and safety on construction job sites.
• Experience managing field staff and providing training and mentoring.
• Strong verbal and written communication with all stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the South and Midwest.
• Flexible work hours averaging ~50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities.
• Supervise emergency action procedures, staffing, and training for contingency plans.
• Develop and administer site safety and environmental training.
• Conduct daily site safety audits and injury investigations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations on the project site.
• Document accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions.
• Support during on-site audits by OSHA, corporate safety, and inspectors.
• Monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Maintain safety documents for the project site.
• Lead safety meetings and coordinate communications.
