Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Construction Safety or equivalent.
• 2 years in safety management with proven programs.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven leadership abilities with mentoring tradesmen.
• Willingness to travel to construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety performance as a core value across projects.
• Implement, monitor, and review safety programs; liaise with Director of Safety.
• Be familiar with and apply current OSHA regulations as necessary for job sites.
• Provide safety approval for PPE, tools, machinery, and testing equipment.
• Conduct frequent job site safety audits and stop work if imminent danger exists.
• Review safety inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and address violations.
• Ensure employees receive appropriate safety training.
• Evaluate attitudes and awareness of the safety program.
